Searching for HTML code
Element lets you perform simple search tasks involving HTML tags or more sophisticated operations that edit and manipulate HTML tags.
To find HTML code:
1 Choose Edit > Find and click the Element tab in the Find dialog.
2 With the Site window open, specify the search criteria in the Search section of Element as follows:
Select Name is or Name matches from the top left pop-up menu.Type the name of the HTML element you're looking for in the top right text box or choose one from the pop-up menu to the right of the text box.In the scrollable text box below, type the attributes, operators, and attribute values you want as search criteria or choose them from the respective pop-up menus directly below the scrollable text box.
3 Define the scope of your search by doing one of the following:
With the Site window open, click Site in the Element Find in section to select the entire site. (With several site windows open, choose the desired site from the pop-up menu to the right.) You can then remove individual files from the Element file list by selecting them and pressing Backspace or Delete or by clicking Remove.Click or Shift-click files in the Site window and drag the file or files to the Element file list.Select the Files option in Element, click Add Files, and select the files you want searched.
4 Click Start to begin the search. Element displays the number of hits in the file list.
